Gary Green is a convinced theist who believes in a Higher Power and practices his faith. Gary was a volunteer with St Johns Ambulance Operations Branch for several years, and for the past few years has gladly donated the majority of his salary to charitable causes and volunteered his services pro-bono to various organizations. Gary's contributions to charity led to him being nominated for the prestigious Australian of the Year Awards in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Charity or "tithing" is an important part of Gary's life, as he believes that "there's an accounting system inherent in the Universe (God) that's keeping perfect score of all we do. Heartfelt giving leads to greater happiness and prosperity, because what goes around truly does come back around." This old cliché is a great expression of Sir Isaac Newton's famous cause and effect law; to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
